CUTLINE INFORMATION: The International Motorsports Hall of Fame and Museum (IMHOF) took delivery of a special piece of racing history just in time for the AMP Energy 500 Weekend at Talladega Superspeedway today. The car that Dale Jarrett, the 1999 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, drove in his final race, the 2008 NASCAR All-Star race, is now on display at the IMHOF.

Jarrett’s No.44 Michael Waltip Racing Toyota features a special paint scheme detailing memorable moments from his storied career. It’s also the first “Car of Tomorrow” to be displayed at the IMHOF.

“We are very excited to be able to share this wonderful piece of racing history with our race fans,” said Talladega Superspeedway President and IMHOF Executive Director Rick Humphrey. “It also comes at a great time, considering that Talladega Superspeedway and what is now the AMP Energy 500 was also the site of Dale Jarrett’s final win.”

The car is on loan from JKS Motorsports and will be on display till the end of the year.

Admission to the International Motorsports Hall of Fame and Museum is $10 for adults, $5 for kids age 7 to 17 and free for kids age 6 and younger. Hours for the Hall of Fame and Museum are 9 a.m. – 4.pm., seven days a week, with extended hours during race week.
